Zephyrs Enjoy Homecoming

The bonfire, pep rally, football game, and the homecoming dance are some of the highlights of October. This traditional fall weekend is an opportunity for students and alumni to celebrate their school.

During the entire week leading up to homecoming, the halls were filled with Zephyr Pride. Students dressed in themed attire, carts were decorated by clubs, and posters announced all of the activities.

On Thursday, October 9th, the completed club carts were on display at lunch for all to see. Students voted for their favorite carts by putting money in a jar for the cart they liked the best for charity. Film Club's cart was later declared the winner.

That evening students attended the annual homecoming bonfire. Clubs were able to sell goods at their tablesThe evening ended with the lighting of a gigantic bonfire.

On Friday, grades 9 through12 stormed the gym to get excited for the football game that night. The pep rally was a comination of events and the introduction of the fall sports teams.

Later that night, the action really began. Whitehall took on Freedom at home. At half time, the homecoming court and club carts were on display. Although the Zephyrs may have been defeated, the spirit of camaraderie and school spirit prevailed.

The final event of the homecoming weekend was the highly anticipated dance. During the event, the homecoming king Warren Landis and queen Leka Ward were revealed.

As always, thanks to all who helped make it a success!
