"Let It Show" Takes Center Stage

On December 11, the "Let It Show" concert entertained its large audience at the Scranton Cultural Center in Scranton PA. The concert was organized by the radio station 98.5 KRZ and featured many popular, up-and-coming artists, such as Bea Miller and Christina Perri.

The Scranton Cultural Center is part of the Masonic Temple, and the huge, antique building was transformed for the event. Vendors selling fan merchandise, such as T-shirts and CDs, filled the lobby. The stage was decorated especially for Christmas with adorned wreaths and ribbons. The comfortable seats inside the auditorium were filled with hundreds of fans.

The first act to grace the festive stage was the 15-year-old singer Bea Miller. Miller came in ninth on the second season of the TV show The X Factor. The young singer performed her singles such as "Young Blood" and "Fire N Gold," and others.

The next act up was pop band Before You Exit. Members of the band include Connor McDonough, Riley McDonough, Toby McDonough, Thomas Silvers, and Ryan Wheeler. Before You Exit sang their single "Heart Like California," among others before treating fans to the Christmas song "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town."

Before You Exit's performance was followed by musical numbers from Mary Lambert. Lambert performed her single "Secrets." She also recited a very influential poem about body image from her song, "Body Love."

This moving singer was followed by the popular musical duo MKTO. The duo is composed of Malcolm Keller and Tony Oller. MKTO, backed by their band, performed many musical numbers and their hit radio song "Classic."

Finally, Christina Perri appeared on stage with some of her popular singles. Perri performed a few of her better known songs, such as "Human," "A Thousand Years," and her rendition of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

"Let It Show" was a wonderful display of up-and-coming talent; the concert ended at ten p.m. despite many fans hoping for an encore.
