Broncos Bring Home Their Third Super Bowl Win

On Sunday, February 7, the Denver Broncos took on the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. The quarterback showdown took place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The game ended with a score of 24-10, Broncos. 

Following Lady Gaga's rendition of the national anthem, the Panthers won the coin toss and elected to be on defense, giving the Broncos the football. 

During their opening drive, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos were able to kick a field goal, giving them and early 3-0 lead. The Panthers then got the ball, but quarterback Cam Newton was quickly sacked, which resulted in a fumble and a touchdown by the Broncos. After this, the Panthers has possession of the football and scored a touchdown of their own. 

The Broncos got another field goal before quarterback Peyton Manning threw a pass that was intercepted by the Panthers. The Panthers began working their way down the field towards the Broncos' end zone, but their drive was cut short by half time. The score before halftime was 13-7 with the Broncos leading. The Pepsi Halftime Show featured Coldplay, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars. 

Following the halftime show, the Panthers resumed possession of the football. The team got two consecutive first downs, and failed to kick a field goal. Following this possession, the Broncos were able to score three more points with a field goal. The next possession by each team quickly ended with a punt. 

The Carolina Panthers were soon able to recover a fumble caused by Manning and were able to kick a successful field goal, making the score 16-10, Broncos. The next two possessions ended with punts. Then, the Broncos' offensive line was able to recover a fumble from Newton and get a touchdown with a two-point conversion, which made the score 24-10, Broncos. 

Following this touchdown, the Panthers got possession of the football for their final drive of the night, but due to the Broncos' defense, they were not able to close the gap between them and the Broncos. This ended the game at 24-10 and gave the Broncos their third Super Bowl win. 

The MVP of Super Bowl 50 was Von Miller, a linebacker for the Broncos' defense, who was only the sixth defensive player to be awarded MVP in the last 30 years. 

The future of 39-year-old Broncos' quarterback Peyton Manning, with two Super Bowl wins under his belt, remains up in the air at this time.
